Mercedes-Benz have announced pricing for the New Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG and although its certainly pricey, it looks great and the performance figures are fantastic -

The new Mercedes S63 AMG, expected to rival Audi’s S8 and the BMW M6 Gran Coupe goes on sale here in the UK in November and will be priced from £119,565 on-the-road. Engineers at AMG in Affalterbach will be hand building the 585bhp 5.5 Litre V8 bi-turbo engine which will be twinned with an AMG Speedshift MCT seven speed transmission providing superior effortless performance.

The S63 AMG boasts an output of 585bhp with 900Nm of torque which the manufacturer claims provides a 0-62mph time of 4.4 seconds with a top speed electronically limited to 155mph. Despite the fantastic performance figures the Mercedes S63 AMG will still return a decent 27mpg and emit 237g/km of CO2.

For those who want something even more aggressive there is a Driver’s package priced at £2,760 as a factory option which lifts the top speed to 186mph and gives the customer a place on the AMG “Power and Passion” track day to learn more about the handling characteristics and capabilities of the car.

The typical AMG exterior styling cues make the S63 AMG stand out from the standard S-Class models, with more aggressive front and rear bumpers designed to help cooling and allow for the hike in power along with an AMG Sports exhaust system, AMG-specific side sill panels with silver chrome inserts and 19″ AMG 10-spoke alloy wheels. An optional AMG Exterior CarbonFibre package is also available to further enhance the look of the car priced at £5,000.
